King crabs are the largest of the edible crabs. There are many different types of crabs that take on different characteristics. Horseshoe crabs are considered to be "living fossils" and haven't changed in 250 million years. Crabs can live up to 40 years. A female can lay up to 60,000 eggs at once, depending on the species.

Information Crabs have become a very popular seafood for people to eat. Nowadays, crabs are highly sought by the most discriminating chefs around the world. The male Crab is more sought after. You can tell a male and female crab apart by the shape of their abdomen. The male will have a long narrow, inverted "T" shaped, apron on his abdomen. The female will have a inverted "U" shaped apron. The male is called a Jimmy, while the female is called a Sook.
