Information
This
type of Eagle lays 1-3 eggs. Bald Eagles lay eggs which
are goose shaped eggs. They can only lay one egg per day
and it takes up to 35 days for them to hatch. One parent
is always on the nest during incubation and they share
their responsibility. From when they start building their
nest, up to the time the eggs hatch, takes about 20 weeks.
Baby eagles grow really fast. Ten days after hatching
the eagle begins flying. 40 percent of baby eagles die
when they try to fly. Ten to fifteen weeks after the babies
hatch they leave the nest and begin their new life away
from home. Bald Eagles can fly up to 30 miles an hour,
and live to be about 30 years old.
