Information
The
Flinstone family consists of Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, and
Dino! The Flinstones were a family that lived during the
stone age. Barney is Fred's best friend and they like
to bowl and are members of the Lodge of Water Buffalo.
In 1963, the toddlers Pebbles and Bamm Bamm came along.
Pebbles was the Flintstones real daughter by birth, but
Bamm Bamm was an adopted child that the Rubbles found
on their doorstop.
The Flintstones was the first prime-time cartoon series
made especially for television. The program aired on Friday
nights on ABC at 7:30 and included such sponsors as: Winston,
Alka-Seltzer, One-A-Day Vitamins, and Post Cereals, A
Hanna-Barbera Production, in color, and each episode was
30 minutes long. It first premiered on ABC September 30,
1960 - September 2, 1966 and was Rebroadcast on NBC January
17, 1967 - August 1969; September 6, 1969 - September
5, 1970.
